We're Rebranding, It's Time For A Change
From The Crustian Daily to Crust News: Where the Truth Rises
When we first launched The Crustian Daily in 2023, it was born out of satire, a project rooted in the antifascist, community-driven energy of the satirical religion Crustianity, it was never meant to blend in with traditional media. We built it to challenge hypocrisy, call out power, and remind people that truth, like good dough, has to rise before it can take shape.
While the Crustianity faith is one of parody, the antifascism at its core became all too necessary in the world around us, and we have had to adapt to that changing world.
But what began as a voice of resistance has grown into something larger, our readership has more than quadrupled, and we are now much larger than the Crustianity satirical religion that first inspired us.
Our investigations and reporting now reach people far beyond those who already share our values, this expanded reach is the reason for our name change. We feel this change will help us grow faster and expand into a larger and more trusted entity than we already were.
Today, The Crustian Daily becomes Crust News, and our tagline will become ‘Where the truth rises.’
This new identity reflects what we’ve become, a more traditional newsroom, not solely focused on opinion pieces as we had been. We don’t just want to be a reaction to power, we want to be a platform for those who seek to understand it.
We still carry the same fire that fueled the Crustianity community, the belief that truth is resistance, that laughter can cut deeper than hate, and that solidarity is stronger than fear. But Crust News is a name that invites everyone in.
Our mission doesn’t change, only the way we deliver it. Our reporting and our activism will largely remain the same, but now, Crust News gives us room to grow, to report, to document, and to confront propaganda with truth that stands on its own. You will see more, as we take on more live reporting and breaking news, we will also begin allowing guest articles, which is a new area for us.
We believe this shift will help us reach a wider audience, people who might never have clicked on The Crustian Daily, but who deserve access to truth just as much as anyone else. We hope that the changes to our name, our reporting, and our schedule will lead more people down the path to finding truthful reporting.
So here’s to the next chapter. The spirit remains, the energy remains, but the scope expands. In celebration of our new name, we are offering 50% off a paid subscription for the next week. We thank you for all your support so far, and look forward to this new era.
